Goa government to hold meeting on H3N2 infection

The Goa government will hold a high-level meeting on Tuesday to discuss the H3N2 subtype of ‘influenza A’. State Health Minister Vishwajit Rane gave this information.

He informed that the government will ensure that the guidelines of the Union Health Ministry are strictly followed.

So far no case of H3N2 has been reported in Goa this year.

Rane tweeted on Monday night, “I will hold a meeting tomorrow (Tuesday) with Health Secretary, Health Department and Goa Medical College and Hospital officials to discuss ‘H3N2’ subtype of ‘Influenza A’.”

He said that the guidelines of the Union Health Ministry would be strictly followed and a review meeting would be held once a week on this.

Union Health Ministry has issued guidelines to various states regarding ‘H3N2’ virus.
