CBI summons Tejashwi Yadav today in land scam case

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Saturday summoned Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav for questioning in connection with the alleged ‘land for job’ scam.

Officials said Yadav was first called for questioning on March 4, but he did not appear before the CBI officials, after which a fresh date was given for Saturday. They said the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader has been asked to appear for questioning on Saturday forenoon, but he has not yet reached the CBI headquarters here.

The federal agency recently questioned Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo Lalu Prasad and his wife Rabri Devi in ​​Delhi and Patna respectively.

The case pertains to gifting or selling of land to Lalu Prasad’s family for allegedly getting a job in the Railways. This case pertains to the time when the RJD chief was the Railway Minister between 2004 and 2009.
