The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Tuesday questioned former Railway Minister Lalu Prasad for nearly five hours in two sessions as part of its probe into the ‘land for job scam’ case. The officers provided this information.

The case pertains to alleged railway jobs given to people in lieu of land gifted or sold to Lalu Prasad’s family when he was Railway Minister between 2004 and 2009.

According to officials, a team of five CBI officials arrived in two cars at around 10.40 am on Tuesday at the residence of Prasad’s daughter and Rajya Sabha member Misa Bharti at Pandara Park near India Gate, where the former railway minister is currently staying. staying.

The team of the investigating agency went for lunch at around 12.55 pm. The questioning resumed around 2.15 pm, which continued till 5.15 pm. Officials said that during questioning, some documents were shown to the former Bihar chief minister in a room. He has been living in isolation in that room since his kidney transplant.
