1890 new cases of corona virus have been reported in India, which is the highest in 149 days. After this the number of patients under treatment increased to 9433.
The Union Health Ministry gave this information on Sunday. In October last year, 2208 cases were reported in a single day in the country. The ministry said that due to the death of seven more infected people, the death toll has increased to 5,30,831. Of these, two deaths each occurred in Maharashtra and Gujarat in a span of 24 hours, while Kerala reported the death of three patients after tallying its earlier records.
The daily infection rate was recorded at 1.56 percent while the weekly infection rate was 1.29 percent. The total cases of Kovid-19 have increased to 4.47 crore (4,47,04,147). The Ministry said that the number of patients under treatment is 0.02 percent of the total cases while the national rate of recovery from infection is 98.79 percent. So far 4,41,63,883 people have been cured of the infection while the death rate is 1.19 percent.
According to the ministry’s website, 220.65 crore doses of anti-covid vaccine have been administered in the country so far under the nationwide vaccination campaign.
