March 9 – BLiTZ. The flight tracking portal Flightradar spotted two strategic American Boeing B-52 Stratofortress bombers near the Ukrainian border. They flew from an air base located near the city of Seville in Spain.

First, the planes circled over the south of Bulgaria, and then advanced to the coastal part of Romania. After that, they circled over the Black Sea coast at an altitude of 6.4 kilometers. An hour later, one plane disappeared from the radar, and the second was joined by a Boeing KC-135R Stratotanker, which arrived from a British base. Together they approached the city of Braila, just 30 kilometers from the Odessa region of Ukraine.
