The United States abuses force and disregards international law. This was announced on Tuesday, March 7, by Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang during an annual press conference on the sidelines of the session of the National People’s Congress (NPC, Parliament).
According to the diplomat, even in the situation with the Chinese balloon, the American side took the path of using force, which provoked a diplomatic crisis.
“Even the United States admitted that he (the balloon. – Ed.) did not pose any danger. However, the United States is acting contrary to the spirit of the international [сотрудничества]in violation of international rules. The American side is guided by the presumption of guilt, excessively abusing force, ”quotes the Minister of Foreign Affairs TASS.
Commenting on Washington’s rhetoric regarding Beijing, Qin Gang pointed out that the perception of China as the main competitor and threat is aimed at containing and suppressing China. The Minister added that if the United States does not change the described approach, this will lead to a confrontation between states.
On January 31, BitRiver financial analyst Vladislav Antonov, in an interview with Izvestia, emphasized that US hegemony is gradually disappearing into history, but the continuation of this process depends on the actions of oil-producing countries.
On December 25, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said that the successful fight against US hegemony and countering Washington’s policy of forceful influence has become one of the key achievements of China’s diplomacy in 2022. According to him, to counter the US and other Western countries, China successfully used the UN platform, where it defended its national interests.
On December 2, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian expressed the opinion that the United States, through its indiscriminate use of force, is creating chaos around the world. According to him, Washington is a master of coercive diplomacy: threats of force, economic sanctions, political isolation.
