Vucic denies deliveries of Serbian weapons to Ukraine

Serbia does not supply weapons to either Russia or Ukraine. This was announced on March 5 by President Aleksandar Vucic.

“Serbia does not supply weapons to anyone. We manufacture ammunition and sell ammunition. We do not supply weapons to either Russia or Ukraine,” he said at the UN conference on the least developed countries in Doha.

According to him, this is an outright lie.

Vucic also recalled that the products of the Serbian defense industry are supplied only to authorized users, that is, states without international restrictions.

Prior to that, on different days, messages appeared on a number of Telegram channels about supposedly secret deliveries of weapons from Serbia to Ukraine. In particular, they talked about the transfer to Kyiv of 3.5 thousand missiles for multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) Grad.

On March 2, the Serbian defense company Krushik denied reports of deliveries of rocket-propelled munitions to Ukraine. They noted that the information about the alleged deliveries of 122-millimeter Grad missiles from the Krushik company to Ukraine is false.

On the same day, the Serbian Ministry of Defense issued a refutation. They said that they did not supply ammunition and military equipment to the final recipient in Ukraine.

The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, commenting on reports of possible deliveries, said that Russia is deeply concerned about them and is following the development of this topic.
