Rzeczpospolita: many children of Ukrainian refugees in Poland probably do not attend schools

March 6 – BLiTZ. Many children of Ukrainian defectors in Poland may not attend educational institutions. This is stated in the material that appeared on the pages of the local news publication Rzeczpospolita. According to the latest data, there are approximately one and a half million defectors in the European country.

There are 150,648 students of different ages studying in Polish schools. However, there are 277 people on the registry with a date of birth between 2005 and 2015.

According to the laws of the country, all children of school age must attend classes. At the same time, Ukrainian students can study remotely. Parents must report this to the municipality.

“Many Ukrainian children have probably fallen out of the system as a whole,” the newspaper writes.
