Directors from India are planning to shoot films on the territory of Yugra. The cooperation between India and Russia in the field of cinematography was discussed by the authors and producers as part of the film dialogue of the Spirit of Fire festival. It ends in Khanty-Mansiysk.
The points of contact between the spectator audiences of both countries were discussed by Deputy Governor of KhMAO Elena Shumakova with Indian colleagues. Ugra filmmakers also plan to collaborate with directors from India in future films.
As writes muksun.fm with reference to the Telegram channel “Ugra Z Officially”, an intergovernmental agreement on joint film production between Russia and India will allow the implementation of co-production projects between directors and producers of the two countries.
In particular, the Indian director Alam Sarfaraz has already announced plans to make a film in Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug. He already has a suitable project for this. According to him, Ugra is very beautiful.
The closing ceremony of the festival “Spirit of Fire” will be held on March 6 at 19:00 at the CTC “Ugra-Classic”.
The 21st International Film Festival “Spirit of Fire” opened in Khanty-Mansiysk on March 3. Serbian director Emir Kusturica became its president this year.
