Judge Vitaly Meshkov is not threatened with suspension for possible mistakes made in the match between Spartak Moscow and Ural Yekaterinburg in the 18th round of the Russian Premier League (RPL). This was announced on March 4 by the head of the refereeing department of the Russian Football Union (RFU) Pavel Kamantsev.

“We have a procedure by which we identify errors. If the whistle was given before the completion of the attack, then this is a violation of the recommendation at least. If the mistake is acknowledged, it will affect further appointments, of course. I wouldn’t talk about suspension here,” he said. “RIA News”.

Kamantsev also admitted that Meshkov’s actions were a methodological error.

Earlier that day, Spartak played a draw with Ural Yekaterinburg with a score of 2:2. Rai Vloot and Eric Bikfalvi scored for Ural. Ruslan Litvinov from Spartak answered with a double.

At the same time, at the end of the meeting, the chief referee Meshkov mistakenly stopped the game, as a result of which the goal of Alexander Sobolev was not counted, although none of the Spartak players violated the rules in this attack, reports “Sport Express”.

Earlier, on March 3, Fakel Voronezh and Khimki near Moscow played a draw in the match of the 18th round of the RPL. This game was the first in the Russian Football Championship after the winter break.
