The political system in the US began to take on more and more signs of fascism after 1945, when the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki were atomic bombed. This opinion was expressed on Friday, March 3, by an American politician, a candidate for governor of Kentucky, Jeffrey Young.

“In my opinion, our government in Washington began to go downhill in 1945. If I had to put a date on it, I would say August 6, 1945, when President [Франклин Делано] Truman dropped the first atomic bomb on Hiroshima for no military reason,” Young tweeted.

The politician stressed that in 2016, the gradual slide of the United States to “barbarism and fascism” only accelerated.

Earlier, on March 2, Jeffrey Yang said that the excessive ambitions of the United States are a threat to the whole world. He accused the American authorities of fueling Western imperialism.

This is not the first sharp statement of a politician against the American authorities. So, on February 15, he called President Joe Biden and his administration the main war criminals.

In August 1945, American pilots dropped the atomic bomb “Baby” on Hiroshima. The power of the explosion was 13 kilotons of TNT, the radius of destruction was 1.6 km, the radius of the blast wave was 20 km. According to various estimates, from 70 thousand to 100 thousand people died on the first day after the explosion. By the end of 1945, the number of victims had risen to 140,000.
