Experts discuss tasks set for regions in Putin’s address

The tasks that Russian President Vladimir Putin set in his address to the Federal Assembly for the regional authorities are ambitious, but doable. This was announced on Thursday, March 2, by the executive director of the ANO “Institute for Regional Problems” Natalia Lindigrin during a round table at the MIA “Russia Today”.

On Thursday, the press center of the agency hosted a round table of the Expert Institute for Social Research (EISI) on the topic “Message of the President of the Russian Federation V.V. Putin: from reflection to action” with the participation of experts and heads of a number of Russian regions.

As Lindigreen noted during her speech, the regions today need to conduct an analysis of all socially significant projects within their territories, by analogy with the work of the Russian government. To do this, it is necessary to update projects, analyze assignments and executions, as well as payments.

“For the heads of regions, these tasks are extremely ambitious, but feasible,” she is quoted as saying. “RIA News”.

The expert also noted that now in the regions one can observe a filigree setting that is very sensitive to various changes in the social sphere.

Aleksey Chesnakov, head of the scientific council of the Center for Current Politics, for his part, noted that the heads of regions are key figures in the implementation of state policy. He noted that they perform their function of broadcasters of strategic signals to the regional level efficiently and competently.

Earlier, on February 21, the head of the Russian state, speaking with a message to the Federal Address, outlined the key points for the development of the regions in the coming years. First of all, they are aimed at solving problems that concern the population of the country: the availability of medical care, the situation with roads, and environmental problems. In addition, as the president stated, the priority task for the government and regions is to increase the income of citizens in 2023.

The last time Putin’s address to the Federal Assembly took place on April 21, 2021. On February 10, Ivan Abramov, First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Economic Policy, told Izvestia that there was no message from the President in 2022 because “it was difficult to strategically give a correct assessment for the long term.”
