Single mother Ito Ayumi, 33, met her future killer, Yuki Tsuchiya, 31, in 2022, when both were working on the Shizuoka Prefectural Development Committee. Although the man was married, an affair began between them.
The police arrested him on February 23 after a missing woman and an unsuccessful search, when Ayumi’s car was found 300 meters from Tsuchiya’s house. He immediately confessed to the murder and said that he hit the woman on the head with a blunt object in his car, and then strangled with a cord. Having transported the body to the house, he dismembered it and hid it.
Neighbors said they heard a suspicious noise at Tsuchiya’s house, but the police were not called. How exactly he dismembered the corpse is not clear, because the killer did not live alone, but with his wife, two children and an elderly father.
