As the Chairman of the Union of Summer Residents, State Duma Deputy Nikita Chaplin told the BLiTZ, each owner of a summer cottage has the right to apply for connecting the summer cottage to the power grid independently. Previously, the network company extended the line only to the borders of the SNT, but today every summer resident can apply for all necessary communications directly to the site.
“Each gardener has the right to apply to the grid organization with an application for technological connection or with an application for an increase in capacity. It is important to remember that if the site is located on the territory of the SNT, then the chairman has no right to interfere, ”Chaplin explained.
According to him, the distance is measured in a straight line from the border of gardening or horticulture to the nearest power grid. So, if the distance to power grid facilities is not more than 300 meters in cities and urban-type settlements and not more than 500 meters in rural areas, then the amount of payment for technological connection will be no more than 550 rubles.
To bring electricity to your country house, you must submit an application and a list of necessary documents to the energy supply company. It is also necessary to provide the applicant’s passport or a notarized power of attorney.
“Tariff rates are set by each subject of the Russian Federation. Benefits also apply: if an agreement for technological connection is concluded by a member of a low-income or large family, a war veteran, a disabled person, etc.,” he stressed.
