According to an expert in the field of unmanned systems Denis Fedutinov, the crashed drone near Kolomna on February 28 was manufactured in Ukraine. This is evidenced by fragments of the wreckage, writes “MK”.
Earlier it was reported that the drone fell near an important object near the village of Gubastovo in the Moscow region.
According to Fedutinov, the fallen unmanned vehicle resembles the UJ-22 Airborne, which is a Ukrainian development. The flight range of this drone is 800 km, and its payload capacity can be up to 20 kg.
This technology is based on available foreign components and is equipped with an internal combustion engine. During the flight, the drone flies without the direct control of the operator along a predetermined route.
The flight takes place covertly at low altitude to reduce the likelihood of detection by air defense systems. However, the flight does not mean returning back to the launch point.
The expert notes that such parameters of the drone are typical for unmanned vehicles of this size. Fedutinov also pointed out that the use of Ukrainian drones in attacks on Russian territory has already been recorded, which confirms the high probability of using such technology in the future.
