The Russian Federation has increased the export of crude oil through the Pacific ports. This information comes from a Bloomberg publication citing its tracking information.

During the week ending February 24, 34 tankers loaded Russian oil, according to the publication. Of these, 14 received fuel in the ports of the Pacific Ocean, namely in De-Kastri (Khabarovsk Territory), Kozmino (Perm Territory), Prigorodnoye (Sakhalin Region). Another 20 tankers loaded raw materials in Murmansk, Novorossiysk and Prigorodny (Leningrad region). The agency estimated the income from oil sold for the specified period at $44 million.

The number of tankers in Pacific ports increased compared to the previous two weeks. Then, according to Bloomberg, there were no more than ten tankers in this water area. According to the publication, the current export volumes are a record since their tracking, which began in 2022. According to the study, oil from eastern ports is sold 40% higher than similar products from western ports.

The agency noted that average shipments of oil to Asia and unknown destinations have also risen. Since the beginning of 2022, they have become a record: in recent weeks, 3.11 million barrels of oil have been exported to these areas daily.

Based on the February statement of the European Commission that the import of Russian oil to the EU countries decreased by 90%, we can conclude that the reorientation of the sale of Russian oil to the Asian market has begun.

Earlier it became known that Russia stopped the flow of oil through the Druzhba pipeline. Read more on the topic in the material of the BLiTZ.
