In Moscow school No. 2031, the head of the cadet class, Sergei Okopsky, beat a student during a lesson on financial literacy. Olga Yaroslavskaya, Ombudsman for Children in Moscow, wrote about this on February 27 on her Telegram channel.
She said that the teacher’s rage was caused by the teenager’s long hair. The teacher demanded that the young man leave the class, he refused and a brawl began.
“The teacher grabbed the student by the hair and dragged him into the corridor, both, as far as can be seen from the video, fell to the floor, and the teacher struck the child several times <…> the boy was diagnosed with a nose and head injury,” the Ombudsman said.
She pointed out that this was unacceptable and turned to the leadership of the educational institution with the question of how an emotionally unstable person can work at school.
“There must be a trial to the fullest extent of the law. The judicial authorities, of course, are obliged to bring this case to an end, ”added Yaroslavskaya.
Director of the educational institution Grigory Kiselev in a conversation with “Gazeta.Ru” reported that the teachers were fired after this incident.
Last November, a teacher beat a schoolboy in Dzerzhinsk. He delivered several blows and knocked the boy to the floor. After that, the teacher quit.
