Gleb Pavlovsky, a Russian political scientist and journalist, founder of the Effective Policy Foundation, died at the age of 72. Information about this on Monday, February 27, was posted on his Telegram channel.

It is specified that he died on February 26 at the First Moscow Hospice named after Vera Millionshchikova after a severe and prolonged illness. While the place and time of the funeral is not reported.

Initially, the political scientist’s death was reported to the media by his friend, gallery owner Marat Gelman (this material concerns the activities of foreign agent Marat Gelman).

Gleb Pavlovsky was born on March 5, 1951 in Odessa. In 1973 he graduated from the history department of the Odessa State University.

In 1991–1992, he was Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Kommersant Publishing House. In 1995, together with Marat Gelman and Maxim Meyer, he founded the Effective Policy Fund, which developed Vladimir Putin’s 2000 presidential campaign. Pavlovsky also took part in the election campaign of the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych in 2004.
