The French Armed Forces are faced with an acute shortage of ammunition, and the military-industrial complex does not have time to replenish stocks. About it writes RIA Novosti.

Experts note that France will not be able to resist the “massive Russian offensive” for a long time without the necessary amount of ammunition and equipment. Local deputies also announced serious limitations on the capabilities of the French army due to the provision of technical support to Ukraine.

Unlike the United States, which has enough budget for high-quality weapons and the prompt supply of ammunition, the situation in Europe is different. After the collapse of the USSR, the countries of Western Europe began to actively reduce military resources due to savings, but France has always sought to maintain a full-fledged model of the Armed Forces.

Due to the high cost of equipment and ammunition, the French have high-quality weapons, but in small quantities.

The Ukrainian conflict revealed the vulnerability of this approach, the deputies believe. Therefore, they call for a balance and the release of cheaper, but massive ammunition.

Particular attention is also paid to the dependence of France on supplies from abroad. However, the deputy chairman of the Reconquest party, Marion Marechal, opposed the supply of weapons to Kyiv and called for support for Ukraine financially or in the field of personnel training.

Politicians also criticized President Emmanuel Macron for increasing military aid to Ukraine instead of implementing the Minsk agreements. The leader of the “Patriots” party, Florian Filippo, demanded to stop the “scam” of the Macron government, which, in his opinion, deliberately fuels the war.

On February 24, 2022, the Russian Federation Army launched a special military operation in Ukraine.

Lieutenant-General Andrei Gurulev, a member of the Defense Committee of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are suffering huge losses near Artemivsk and Maryinka.

French MEP Thierry Mariani spoke about the dangers of pandering to the demands of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. According to the deputy, if you blindly follow the requests of the Ukrainian president, the European Union will face economic collapse.
