In the span of just three months, Team Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) released 1,363 illegal aliens with criminal convictions into American communities.
DHS released another 1,800 illegal aliens who have pending criminal charges against them, according to the latest data reported by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
Of the illegals with criminal convictions released from DHS custody, 463 bonded out, 421 were given an order of recognizance, 371 were given an order of supervision, and 108 were paroled, Breitbart’s John Binder reported on December 29.
“In total, more than 35,000 illegal aliens were released from DHS custody into the United States interior from October through December 18. Most significantly, the agency seems to be increasing releases, as those freed from custody in the first 18 days of this month eclipse the total number of releases last month”, Binder noted.
RJ Hauman, with the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), said that Team Biden may be violating the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) by releasing the convicts from DHS custody.
Specifically, Hauman cites this INA statute:
The Attorney General may release an alien described in paragraph (1) only if the Attorney General decides pursuant to section 3521 of title 18 that release of the alien from custody is necessary to provide protection to a witness, a potential witness, a person cooperating with an investigation into major criminal activity, or an immediate family member or close associate of a witness, potential witness, or person cooperating with such an investigation, and the alien satisfies the Attorney General that the alien will not pose a danger to the safety of other persons or of property and is likely to appear for any scheduled proceeding. A decision relating to such release shall take place in accordance with a procedure that considers the severity of the offense committed by the alien.
“The law explicitly requires that those who cross the border illegally be detained, but the Biden administration clearly doesn’t want to detain or deport anyone”, Hauman told Breitbart News. “So it isn’t surprising that they are attempting to undermine the rule of law by not only cutting overall detention capacity but illegally releasing criminal aliens as well”.
In November 2022 it was revealed that Biden was allowing more than 6,200 illegal aliens into the US through the open southern border on a daily basis, a report said.
For October 2022, the total preliminary number of border crossers and illegal aliens who entered the US was at least 192,000, according to figures shared with Breitbart News from the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR).
About 87,000 illegals crossed the southern border in October without being apprehended, according to FAIR.
“This ‘got-away’ figure only includes those whom the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is aware of and potentially thousands more may have successfully entered the US via the border,” Breitbart’s John Binder reported on November 6 2022.
“Agents have reason to believe those who have criminal records or are on the terror watch list are among those sneaking through,” FAIR President Dan Stein said in a statement.
More than 100,000 border crossers and illegals were released into the U.S. interior in October by Team Biden as part of its Catch and Release network.
“The primary responsibility of the federal government is to protect Americans and our interests,” Stein said, adding the Joe Biden and DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas “have knowingly, willfully, and consistently violated that responsibility. We have never seen such numbers in our history, and the Biden administration’s open-borders policies are solely to blame”.
From February 2021 to August 2022, Team Biden released nearly 1.35 million border crossers and illegals into American communities after having briefly apprehended them, previously released data showed.
During his Save America rally in Vandalia, Ohio, former President Donald Trump said: “We should pass legislation to deport every illegal alien that Joe Biden has allowed to unlawfully break into our country. We’re going to make America great again … first, we have to make America safe again. It’s not safe”.
