Bangladesh government has sent 3 police officers on forced retirements. They are Superintendent Md. Shahidullah Chowdhury, Superintendent Delwar Hossain Mia and Superintendent Mirza Abdullah Hil Baki. This decision was issued through a notification issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Shahidullah Chowdhury and Delwar Hossain Mia are from Bangladesh Civil Service 12th batch while Mirza Abdullah Hil Baki is from 15th batch.

Superintendent Shahidullah Chowdhury is currently at the Police Headquarters, while two other officers – Delwar Hossain and Mirza Abdullah Hil Baki are posted at the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of Bangladesh Police.

According to information, few months ago, a sub inspector of the Criminal Investigation Department under the influence of a pro-BNP officer had submitted charge-sheet against internationally acclaimed multi-award-winning anti-militancy journalist and editor of BLiTZ Salah Uddin Shoaib Choudhury for exposing notorious activities of a female who had openly called for waging jihad against Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina during the Bangladesh visit of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It is learnt from credible sources; this woman and her sons even now are openly working against Awami League and Bangladesh and have been publicly propagating anti-state propaganda materials of an illegal broadcast network named ‘Nagorik TV’ which is run by two notorious cyberterrorists and extortionists. Instead of taking legal actions against the above-mentioned woman, CID sub-inspector had submitted a vague charge-sheet under the influence of a BNP inclined officer.

Following the order of sending two CID officers on forced retirement, it is now expected that country’s intelligence agencies will investigate the case of CID officers directly collaborating with the anti-state woman.

It is also expected that country’s intelligence agencies will investigate the woman and her sons who are openly promoting ‘Nagorik TV’ and have been closely working with cyberterrorists Nazmus Saquib and Tito Rahman.

It may be mentioned here that, circulating contents of anti-state ‘Nagorik TV’ is a crime under country’s existing laws, while the Cyber Crime unit of the Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) should investigate the matter and arrest the accused persons who are working for ‘Nagorik TV’ and been openly circulating this anti-state YouTube channel’s contents of social media platforms, including Facebook.
