The shocking news of the horrific murder of Charlie Kirk (assassination is too antiseptic a word to characterize the brutal gunning down of a 31-year-old husband and father of two whose only offense was speaking out on social issues in opposition to the self-anointed elites who have seized control of American institutions) has raised serious questions about the future of our nation. Unlike most assassinations, Charlie Kirk was a “civilian,” not an officeholder or candidate. The only comparable case I can think of was the shooting of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., who was also the leader of a grassroots movement.

Questions have arisen with the release of additional information. First, while firearms experts say that hitting a target at 200 yards with a 30.06 rifle equipped with a scope isn’t difficult, especially firing at a downward angle from a roof (one even claimed his 12-year-old son could do it), so that the shooter didn’t need to be a skilled marksman, other aspects of the case suggest that it was a coordinated effort involving more than one person. For example, the unlicensed rifle was dropped off in a towel at a predetermined location. More disquieting, as reported by American Liberty News on September 15 is that the evidence at least admits the possibility of involvement by Antifa, the Left’s “military wing” in the same sense that the Irish Republican Army was the military wing of Sinn Fein. Among the details cited in the article were:

It is rather incongruous that Tyler Robinson, a supposed lone wolf shooter, would send Discord messages using language such as “drop off point” and “watching the area,” which sound more like intelligence jargon rather than an adolescent chatting with friends. And the phrase “watching the area” indicates that someone else would either retrieve the weapon or at least keep an eye on it.

As American Liberty News noted, “Robinson did not spring from nowhere. His online footprint, including the engraving of bullet casings with phrases like ‘Bella Ciao’ and ‘Hey fascist! Catch!’ situates him squarely within the cultural milieu of antifa. ‘Bella Ciao’ is an anthem of European communists and anarchists, adopted by Antifa networks worldwide. It is not a slogan an average young man would casually inscribe.

Likewise, ‘Hey fascist! Catch’ is an unmistakable taunt drawn from antifa rhetoric about confronting conservatives. These are ideological markers, and they reflect immersion in a subculture that valorizes violence against figures like Charlie Kirk.”

Indeed, since Robinson was ten years old, left-wing Democrats have been calling publicly for violence against President Trump, Charlie Kirk, and others. Their task has been made easier by a popular culture now so inured to violence that in Charlotte, NC a black man with a history of 14 arrests who had been set free by a magistrate who didn’t even have a law degree could reach over and slit the throat of a young Ukrainian refugee sitting in the row front of him on a light rail train, mutter “I got the white girl,” and walk out covered with blood while two or three Black passengers seated near her made no effort to intervene even after the killer was gone and she slumped to the floor, walking right past her as she bled to death. (One man finally took off his shirt and tried to stanch the flow of blood, but it was too late).

Another disturbing aspect is that Robinson was dating his gay roommate, a man in the process of transgendering. This follows several incidents of multiple shootings by transgendered individuals. This is not to say that transgenders are inherently evil. Rather. it is a warning signal. Until a decade ago, gender dysphoria was regarded properly as a psychiatric disorder and was extremely rare.

Today it is promoted to the point that about 20% of Brown University students polled said they were considering transitioning. As Yudi Sherman wrote in Front Page Magazine on December 24, 2023, sowing gender confusion (as well as promoting increased homosexuality) was one of the means proposed by economist Frederick Jaffe to lower the US birth rate in a 1969 memo commissioned by Bernard Berelson, then national vice-president of Planned Parenthood Federation of America, and subsequently ratified by President Nixon’s creating a national commission on population growth, with Jaffe and Berelson as members, that issued the 1972 Kissinger report recommending that further US population growth is unnecessary.

No wonder the radical leftist teachers who dominate American education and their avaricious psychological and medical partners are relentlessly pushing children into socially transitioning, taking puberty blockers, and then undergoing surgical body mutilation as teenagers while preventing parents by law from finding out what is happening.

The problem is that the powerful cross hormones coupled with puberty blockers that transitioners take can aggravate their mental health issues, thus increasing their risk of committing acts of violence. Noting the jump to 23% LGBTQ and 3% transgender among Gen Z [born 1997-2006], driven by social media echo chambers and peer pressure.

Dr. Scott Atlas, senior fellow at Stanford’s Hoover Institution, wrote on Real Clear Politics September 19 that the COVID lockdown of 2020-2022 devastated those Generation Z’s who were in high school at the time. He writes, “Gen Z’s dysfunction is undeniable. They average nine hours daily on screens, over three hours on social media, eroding real-world connections. This fuels asocial behavior, surging loneliness, and poor mental health; only half favor personal over virtual interactions.

Financially, they falter: 55% find homeownership harder, 44% struggle to secure jobs, and 55% see promotions as elusive, fostering underachievement. Employers note that 65% of recent college graduates feel entitled, 63% are easily offended, and 55% lack professionalism and work ethic. Mental health crises are rampant, with depression, anxiety, and hopelessness spiking, especially among liberal-leaning youth, driven by a victimhood culture amplified by social media.”

It is no wonder that President Trump’s would-be assassin, and Luigi Mangone, who murdered the CEO of United Health Care] in cold blood, shooting him in the back, and saying he deserved it, are also Gen Z. Illustrating how sick our society is becoming, Mangione is now a folk hero. A billboard portrait of him as a saint went up in lower Manhattan; hundreds of thousands of dollars have been contributed to his defense fund; and a New York State judge dropped first-degree murder and terrorism charges against him, claiming “insufficient evidence,” whereupon the US Justice Department charged him with capital murder.

The article concludes that “…even if Robinson alone pulled the trigger, the ideological fingerprints of the left are on the weapon. His hand may have fired the shot, but their words loaded the chamber.”

On presenting the American Freedom Alliance’s Hero of Conscience award to Robert Spencer, Frank Gaffney summarized the global political scene: globalists, Islamists, and Communists all seek to take over the entire world. They have one thing in common: all of them want to eliminate the impediments to their plans – us. Matters have reached the point where leftists are compiling online lists of whom they want killed next, most notably opponents of trans-gendering such as Joe Rogan, JK Rowling, Ben Shapiro, and Matt Walsh, as well as President Donald Trump, Libs of TikTok’s Chaya Raichik, Elon Musk, and Andy Ngo.

Even Dennis Prager, who has been sidelined for over a year by a fall at home that initially left him totally disabled, has been mentioned. I bet that not since the Roman proscriptions following the assassination of Julius Caesar have so many people been publicly condemned to death. In response, J.K. Rowling, author of the Harry Potter series of children’s books, was quoted in American Liberty News: “If you believe free speech is for you but not your political opponents, you’re illiberal. If no contrary evidence could change your beliefs, you’re a fundamentalist. If you believe the state should punish those with contrary views, you’re a totalitarian.

If you believe political opponents should be punished with violence or death, you’re a terrorist.” By those standards, many leftists are terrorists at heart. The same article quotes the late David Horowitz, founder of Front Page Magazine: “Totalitarians don’t care to debate their opponents, and in particular on the transgender issue, leftists likely know that they would lose, and lose resoundingly, any such debate. And so they want those whom they fear and hate to be silenced, and silenced for good. In a group that hates God and His creation and wants to reshape it to their own liking, moral considerations simply don’t enter into the equation.”

And yet this crowd has the chutzpah, the unmitigated gall, to claim they occupy the moral high ground while saying that Charlie Kirk deserved to die.

At least there is a price to pay. Some of the thousands of teachers, doctors, nurses, attorneys, media personalities and celebrities who posted online messages celebrating the death of Charlie Kirk or mocking him were fired or suspended from their positions, one of the latest of whom is ABC late night TV host Jimmy Kimmel, suspended indefinitely for pushing the leftist lie that the assailant was a MAGA right-winger.

But what about the fact that only 95 of the 213 Democratic members of the House of Representatives voted for a resolution condemning the assassination, while 58 Voted no, 38 took the cowardly way out by voting present, and 22 absented themselves? What has happened to the party of Roosevelt, Truman, Kennedy, Johnson, Humphrey, Henry Jackson, Daniel Patrick Moynihan, and Joe Lieberman?

Why am writing this diatribe? Because as early as 2018, Charles Kesler, editor of the Claremont Review of Books, warned that America was engaged in a cold civil war between two rival constitutions, two cultures, two ways of life, and TMZ founder Harvey Levin, among others, has expressed the fear that the war may turn hot.

In fact, conservative commentator Kurt Schlichter just had a novel published, American Apocalypse: The Second Civil War, which depicts such a war in the very near future. Besides the obvious carnage, this prospect puts Jews in danger, because in a civil war we get caught between both sides. In the civil war that followed the Bolshevik revolution in Russia the combatants took time out to conduct pogroms.  In the American Civil War, General Grant, then commanding the Union army in the west (1862), ordered all Jews to leave the district he controlled in Tennessee because Jewish cotton dealers had tried to make a deal with Grant’s father, a leather merchant, to receive special treatment in buying cotton. Happily, American Jewish leaders appealed to President Lincoln, who promptly countermanded Grant’s order. Nevertheless, in the present climate of hatred, anything could happen.

It would be ironic if the same party whose extremists started the Civil War by firing on Fort Sumter were to start the second Civil War by its extremists firing on Charlie Kirk.
