NGO corruption harms Palestinians

As at the time of writing I am reading a statement from over 100 NGO’s, charities and aid organizations demanding Israeli military withdrawal from Gaza, the disbanding of the current agency responsible for distributing aid and reverting to previous aid agencies formerly responsible for aid distribution. After last week’s public relations campaign by the heads of the major agencies which saw many of them interviewed by all the global media outlets, this renewed effort bringing in the usual and numerous lesser-known anti-Israeli organizations was predictable. I have seen nothing in the statement alluding to hostage release which clearly exposes the biased ideology of the signatories to the statement. These organizations especially UNRWA established over seventy years ago to handle Palestinian affairs are suffering severe financial pressures that could witness their end. Radix Malorum Est Cupiditas (cupidity is the root of all evil) as related in Timothy 6.10 and Chaucer in the Pardoner’s Tale, will verify how financially and morally corrupt those senior officers and staff at UNRWA and other similar institutions have been for decades.
The Trump administration recognized that the corrupt NGO business model had to change and given his inner circle are first and foremost successful entrepreneurs as he is, it is no wonder that this policy is at the forefront challenging the status quo. It is no coincidence that Hamas, three weeks after Trump pulled funding from UNRWA could no longer pay their operatives. More telling perhaps was the fact that those banks in Qatar, France, Turkey and Switzerland holding an estimated $22 billion (I repeat twenty-two billion dollars) in the accounts of both the living and deceased Hamas leadership refused to make up the shortfall. Terrorist organizations especially Hamas have accumulated billions of dollars from UN agencies. Funds which should have been allocated to poverty relief, housing, health care, jobs and education have simply lined the pockets of a cabal of Islamic militants and for purchasing weapons and ammunition with which they undertake atrocities.
Trump knows that cutting off the money supply provides political dividends as in the case of American universities which allowed rabid antisemitism on their campuses. He cut their funding and only then did they act to punish the perpetrators and compensate the victims.
This mood is spreading – the Central Bank of Lebanon has recently shut the accounts of all Hezbollah connected individuals and organizations. The banks in the UK are doing similar with certain Islamic ‘charities’ and Palestinian societies. Even the UK Labour government has recognized that ‘smashing the business model’ – the term now frequently used by all their cabinet members is the best way to stop the continuous flow of illegal immigrants. Corrupt French bureaucrats and politicians – as history tells us nothing has changed since Dreyfus, Vichy and Sarkozy, will be most put out.
The unprecedented, united opposition by aid agencies to Israeli conduct has absolutely nothing to do with love or aid for the Palestinians but everything to do with demonization of the only Jewish state in the world and recognizing that the munificent income stream from donor countries on which greedy bureaucrats were reliant upon to fund their glamorous lifestyles is being threatened.
Immediately after October 7th these same agencies were shouting from the rooftops that the Palestinians were in dire need of food, water, electricity, fuel and all the basic consumer requirements. The objective then being to increase income flow whilst appealing to those already generously contributing to their coffers. They are now beating the same drum harder and faster as their financial lifeline is vulnerable. These heads of UN agencies and senior management are desperate for themselves not the Palestinians. If this were not true, they would be doing everything in their power to assist the new agencies who have now taken control. But guess what? The reverse is happening, and these signatories are doing everything in their power to obstruct those trying to assist. The border crossings into Gaza are full of trucks and lorries stocked full of food and fuel under UN control but are not being permitted by those organizations into Gaza simply because both the Israelis and Americans want to ensure such aid will not be looted by Hamas. That common sense plan does not fit in with the decades old business model of the UN agencies and their partners in crime – Hamas. And the propaganda machine is in in full sway orchestrating the continuous demonization of Israel as being the criminals.
The madness though exposed to the world has fallen on deaf ears and those who do not want to see. Israel will forever be the one to blame for the greed, corruption and moral indecency created and perpetrated by her opponents.
