Following elimination of top-Hamas kingpin and ruthlessly notorious jihadist Yahya Sinwar, several Muslim groups in Jammu and Kashmir in India are planning to bring-out massive demonstration processions immediately after Friday prayers on October 18, 2024. It was earlier reported that Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and officials in Jerusalem have expressed certainty about another successful anti-jihadist offensives that has eliminated Hamas kingpin Yahya Sinwar, who also is known as the ‘Bin Laden of Gaza’. Sinwar was seen by the IDF as the top target as he was announced as the new leader of mega-terror outfit Hamas in early August following the elimination of former kingpin Islamil Haniyeh. Haniyeh was eliminated in Tehran through a time-bomb.

It may be mentioned here that following the elimination of Lebanese Hezbollah kingpin Hassan Nasrallah in September 2024, hundreds of jihadist protesters, mostly belonging to Shia sect, rallied in Jammu and Kashmir denouncing the “Israeli assassination” of Nasrallah. Pro-jihadist politicians including People’s Democratic party chief Mehbooba Mufti in Jammu and Kashmir suspended their campaign for regional elections to mourn the death of Nasrallah.

Expressing her solidarity with Hezbollah and Hamas terrorist groups, Mehbooba Mufti wrote on ‘X’, “Cancelling my campaign tomorrow in solidarity with the martyrs of Lebanon & Gaza especially Hassan Nasarullah. We stand with the people of Palestine & Lebanon in this hour of immense grief & exemplary resistance”.

According to media reports, jihadist protesters took to the street holding pictures of Hassan Nasrallah and waving Hezbollah, Hamas and Islamic State (ISIS) flags thus chanting slogans including “Oh martyrs of Palestine, we are with you” and raised banners with messages demonizing Israel and the United States. These jihadist protestors also burned images of US President Joe Biden, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Sharing videos of the jihadist protests, a local journalist wrote on ‘X’: “Massive peaceful protests today in Kashmir over the killing of Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah in an Israeli air strike in Lebanon. Mourners’ crowds shouting slogans against Israel and America and in solidarity with Hezbollah, Hamas and the Palestinians”.

President, J&K Anjuman-e-Sharie, Shian Aga Syed Hassan Mosavi Al Safavi told ANI news agency, “No matter how much we mourn his (Hassan Nasrallah) death, it will always be lesser… There should be peace and that was his mission. He was alleged to be involved in terrorism so that the people wouldn’t get to know what he was doing for humanity and what he wanted. He wanted Palestine to be free for the people of Palestine. I wanted to say to the entire humanity and Islamic people, that this will bring something extraordinary for which he has sacrificed his life. His loss can’t be measured but thousands of Nasrallah will born from his blood and will take this mission forward and get success”.

Hamas-Hezbollah connections of Indian jihadists

According to a credible counterterrorism source, for several years, groups of jihadists from Jammu and Kashmir are being taken to Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) by Inter-Service Intelligence (ISI) and given combat training, while some of the jihadists are sent to Lebanon for practical experience on warfare under various disguises.

It said, currently there are “at least dozens of jihadists inside India” with extensive knowledge on making various types of mid and high-range explosives and Improvised Explosive Device (IED)s while they also have training for executing suicide attacks.

The source further said, several politicians belonging to “non-Muslim” parties in India also are maintaining secret connections with jihadist groups, while there is a “massive coordination” within various jihadist groups including Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (ARSA), Jamaatul Mujahedin Bangladesh (JMB), Ansarullah Bangla Team (ABT) and a fraction of Harkat Ul Jihad (HuJI), despite the fact, most of these jihadist outfits are banned by Indian authorities.
