Bangladesh’s Prime Minister, Sheikh Hasina, has unequivocally denounced the heinous terrorist massacre at Moscow’s Crocus City Hall, which tragically claimed the lives of more than 130 individuals. In a letter addressed to Russian President Vladimir Putin, Prime Minister Hasina expressed her profound condemnation of the cowardly and senseless attack that transpired on March 22, 2024.

“I am deeply shocked and appalled by the loss of numerous innocent lives”, she conveyed, while also offering her prayers for the souls of the departed victims and extending heartfelt condolences to their bereaved families. Sheikh Hasina further conveyed her hopes for the swift recovery of those injured in the brutal attack.

Highlighting the universal ramifications of such acts of terrorism, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina asserted that such atrocities strike at the very core of human civilization and its values. She reaffirmed Bangladesh’s unwavering solidarity with the people of Russia during this challenging time, stating, “On behalf of the people of Bangladesh, I express our solidarity with the friendly people of Russia and would like to assure you that in this difficult time, we stand by the side of Russia”.
