The chief of Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR), Sergey Naryshkin said, Washington and London were behind the explosions that destroyed the two Nord Stream gas pipelines, reports RT International. The energy links, built to bring Russian natural gas directly to Germany, were destroyed by unknown perpetrators in a series of explosions in September 2022. Germany, Denmark, and Sweden, who share economic zones in the area, have each launched separate inquiries after failing to agree on a joint effort. Last month, however, Stockholm and then Copenhagen closed their inquiries.

“Certainly, we had indirect clues to who did it. These indirect signs were left by the perpetrators themselves. The mosaic has come together. And this mosaic obviously points to the authors”, Naryshkin told ‘Solovyov Live’ show on March 5, 2024.

Russian President Vladimir Putin and senior officials in Moscow have previously alleged that the US had the most to gain from the sabotage and pointed to Washington’s public opposition to the construction of the pipelines. Moscow also accused the West of stonewalling the investigation.

In a recent interview with American journalist Tucker Carlson, Vladimir Putin pointed the finger at the CIA, claiming that the US was behind the destruction of Nord Stream. He declined to say what evidence led him to that conclusion.

Investigative reporter Seymour Hersh said in February 2023 that, according to his source, US President Joe Biden personally ordered the bombing of the pipelines. Hersh claimed Biden was seeking to cement Germany’s antagonism towards Russia in the Ukraine conflict and ensure the EU’s long-term reliance on Western energy. The White House denied the allegation, but Putin has said he found Hersh’s reasoning plausible.

Meanwhile, Greg Reese in a recent interview hinted that the CIA was behind some actions against Russia, like the Nord Stream incident. The CIA, through a New York Times article, admitted that they’ve been working with Ukraine against Russia, training their officers and setting up secret bases near the Russian border.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has made it clear in several interviews that he is well aware of how US Presidents come and go and US policy never changes.

President Putin is well aware that it is the CIA who directs us policy, and it is the intelligence agencies of NATO countries who have been covertly instigating war with Russia for decades. In the Tucker Carlson interview at the Kremlin, President Putin seemed to be speaking directly to the CIA twice, playfully hinting that Tucker is a representative of the intelligence organization, with the backing of whom? With the backing of CIA, of course.

The NYT article admits that the CIA, operating through three different presidential administrations, has transformed the Ukraine into Washington’s most important intelligence partners against the Kremlin. They have secretly trained and equipped Ukrainian intelligence officers over the past decade and constructed a network of twelve secret bases along the Russian border used to launch cross border attacks on Russian territory. This means the CIA is responsible for the attacks on oil refineries and energy infrastructure.

The article describes secret underground command centers established near the Russian border, financed and equipped by the CIA – a CIA program called Operation Goldfish enabled Ukrainians to hack into Russian military networks, break into satellites, and decode secret conversations. Two years after the 2014 western backed coup in Ukraine, the CIA set up training programs for an elite Ukrainian commando force known as unit 2245. The CIA trained Ukrainian spies who operate inside of Russia, across Europe, and in other places where Russia operates.

It points out that this operation may have been hidden from Trump. While Trump’s rhetoric was friendly to Russia, his administration of anti-Russia Warhawks such as Mike Pompeo and John Bolton kept western aggression moving forward, which is what Putin has been pointing out for years.

Some of these labs were seized by the Russian federation, who say they are preparing to release a report on them, but have so far remained silent. Putin has made it clear that Russia’s actions in Ukraine was in response to decades of hostile US NATO military expansion on Russian borders. And the CIA is now admitting this to be true, Greg Reese said.

Meanwhile, according to RT, Biden administration is considering tapping the US Army budget to provide Ukraine with much-needed military aid, Bloomberg reported on Wednesday, citing people familiar with the matter.

One of the sources told the news agency that a final decision has yet to be made. The sum reportedly sought by the White House in the Pentagon reserves – around US$200 million – is a small fraction of the US$61 billion worth of Ukraine aid President Biden has been requesting from Congress.

The president will once again urge legislators to approve new assistance for Kiev during his State of the Union address on Thursday, Bloomberg said. The Senate backed the aid package last month, but it is now stalled in the House due to political in-fighting.

House Republicans have so far refused to back Biden’s bill, hoping to pressure the president into enacting tougher measures to deal with the influx of illegal migrants crossing the border with Mexico.
