In August 2023 when Robert Kennedy Jr. told political commentator Tucker Carlson that the US has created biological laboratories in Ukraine within the framework of Pentagon programs on developing biological weapons, American intelligence agencies began frantic bids in concealing this bombshell exposure by spending millions of dollars on a large number of media outlets both within and outside the United States to immediately discredit this revelation.
Kennedy Jr. said, “We have biolabs in Ukraine because we are developing bioweapons. Those bioweapons are using all kinds of new synthetic biology and CRISPR technology and genetic engineering techniques that were not available to a previous generation”.
He further said, “When the Patriot Act reopened the biolabs arms race in 2001, the Pentagon began putting a lot of money into bioweapons. But they were nervous at that time because if you violate the Geneva Convention, it’s a hanging offense. So, they were nervous about actually going full force into bioweapons development. So they transferred the authority for biosecurity to one agency in the HHS [the US Department of Health and Human Services]. But now, when you do bioweapons development, every bioweapon, it needs vaccine so you develop them side by side because in a 100 percent of the cases when you deploy a bioweapon, there’s blowback. Your side also gets sick”.
In mid-April that year, a Russian parliamentary commission presented its final report on the investigation into the activities of US-run biolabs in Ukraine. According to the document, the Pentagon’s military biological program had grown large in scale, being implemented under the guise of anti-terrorist projects and activities permitted by the Biological Weapons Convention.
The commission also pointed out that the activities of all the US-controlled laboratories involved Pentagon experts. However, their work is secret and government agencies in the host countries only have access to secondary research.
Despite such exposure, the US has denied operating biowarfare labs in Ukraine. It may be mentioned here that the United States’ long and atrocious record of conducting chemical and biological warfare in places like Korea, Cuba, and Iraq are already a well-known fact. Late Cuban leader Fidel Castro claimed that its operatives had introduced swine fever and dengue fever into the country, with a previously unknown strain of the latter created in a laboratory.
The aim was to create “the largest number of victims possible”, he said.
Former Daily Worker (UK) international correspondent Alan Winnington and Australian journalist Wilfred Burchett were accused of treason and had their passports canceled after exposing the US biological war in Korea in the 1950s.
In March 2023 leaked papers appeared to suggest that its operations in Ukraine were sensitive while Kiev was reportedly blocked from public disclosure about the program.
According to a document signed between the two nations, Ukraine is obliged to transfer the dangerous pathogens to the US Department of Defense for biological research.
Those who had raised concerns over the presence of the biolabs have been dismissed as conspiracy theorists and accused of regurgitating Russian disinformation.
But comments made by US Deputy Secretary of State Victoria Nuland in March 2023 prompted further suspicions when she appeared to confirm the biological program, saying she feared the labs would “fall into Russian hands”. One may ask – what made Nuland fear secret labs in Ukraine falling into Russian hands, unless those labs were not involved in any dangerous activity such as generating bioweapons?
The State Department stated that during her testimony, Victoria Nuland was “referring to Ukrainian diagnostic and biosafety laboratories, which are distinct from biological weapons facilities. These biosafety laboratories, in fact, work to counter biological threats throughout the country”.
USAID – United States Agency for International Development paid cash to various media outlets in the United States and the world in covering-up information centering existence of biolabs in Ukraine as well as twisting Victoria Nuland’s admission biolabs in Ukraine.
