Al Jazeera gives oxygen to anti-India notoriety

Qatari Al Jazeera, which is known to millions of people as a terror-broadcast network, has started giving oxygen to “India Out” notoriety of Al Qaeda connected ultra-Islamist entity – Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP). Following general elections in Bangladesh, which was held on January 7 this year, BNP, which boycotted it along with its ideological allies such as Jamaat-e-Islami, Islamic Constitution Movement and others accused India, Russia and China for “extending support” to ruling Awami League and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in holding the election defying numerous forms of threats and bullying tactics of the Biden administration and several Western nations and organization – launched “India Out” notoriety xeroxing that of Maldives with the dangerous agenda of inciting anti-India and anti-Hindu sentiment in Bangladesh.

Taking undue advantage of such evil plots of ultra-Islamist forces, Al Jazeera in its report on February 7, 2024 gave a false description stating – responding to BNP’s “India Out” movement, Bangladeshi consumers have started boycotting Indian products.

Al Jazeera in its report said, “Amid allegations of Indian interference in national elections, there’s a call to boycott Indian goods in Bangladesh. Last week, a supplier for the Indian consumer goods giant Marico faced a chilly reception in Dhaka’s Panthapath area. Grocery shops, usually eager to stock their shelves with its hair oil, cooking oil, body lotion and other products, refused to take new deliveries”.

It further said, “… Simmering anti-India sentiment in Bangladesh has boiled over in the past decade, culminating in public displays such as celebrations in Dhaka last year after India’s loss in the Cricket World Cup final.

“But after last month’s elections in Bangladesh, in which Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina secured a fourth term while the opposition boycotted the polls, a massive “India Out” campaign was launched, alleging Indian interference in Bangladesh politics.

“The Bangladeshi diaspora and opposition groups have fueled this anti-India movement and advocated boycotts of Indian products. This movement mirrors similar campaigns in the Maldives, where Mohamed Muizzu capitalized on anti-India sentiment to win the presidential election.

“In Dhaka, the campaign was launched against the backdrop of India’s traditionally strong ties with Hasina’s government and its strained relationship with the opposition, leading many to believe India favored the status quo”.

Al Jazeera in its anti-India report termed Jamaat-e-Islami activists Pinaki Bhattacharya as “exiled Bangladeshi physician” stating “Exiled Bangladeshi physician Pinaki Bhattacharya, who fled alleged government harassment in 2018, has emerged as the key figure in this burgeoning social media movement accusing India of interfering in Bangladesh’s recent elections to keep Hasina in power.

“Through his more than two million followers across social media platforms, Bhattacharya launched the #BoycottIndia campaign in mid-January, urging them to join “this monumental endeavor”. His call, emphasizing love of homeland and determination to break free from perceived shackles, resonated with thousands”.

According to media sources, years ago, Pinaki, a diehard anti-India individual was hired by Pakistani spy agency Inter-Service Intelligence (ISI) for running propaganda against India and promoting anti-India sentiment in Bangladesh. In addition to his nefarious propaganda against Bangladesh, Pinaki has been categorically active in running propaganda offensives against Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). Other targets of Pinaki Bhattacharya are the China, Russia and secularist forces. Pinaki has also been supportive of Pakistan-sponsored terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir as well as other parts of India. He has been one of the defenders of Afghan Taliban, Al Qaeda, Islamic State (ISIS) and Hamas.

According to an Indian website, a self-proclaimed activist Pinaki Bhattacharya is anti-Hindu and anti-India extremist. He has been regularly publishing contents defaming Hindu religion.

It said, Pinaki became popular amongst radical Muslims and anti-India and anti-Hindu bloc in Bangladesh for his jihadist and anti-India publications. He persuaded Bangladeshi Muslims to wage jihad against the Hindus and join jihadist forces in Jammu and Kashmir in India.

In Bangladesh, Pinaki was accused of selling counterfeit medicines and sexual drugs. Under the garb of a pharmaceutical company, Pinaki Bhattacharya was also involved in producing Yaba, which is a combination of methamphetamine (a powerful and addictive stimulant) and caffeine.

According to information, Pinaki was selling Yaba to Lebanese Hezbollah as well as other terrorist groups in the Middle East through notorious terror don Dawood Ibrahim’s D Company.

Several years ago, at the influence of Jamaat-e-Islami and Tablighi Jamaat, Pinaki Bhattacharya left Hindu religion and became Muslim.

Although Al Qaeda-connected BNP’s notorious “India Out” campaign has been totally rejected by people in Bangladesh, Qatari terror-broadcast network Al Jazeera in its report has published images of several Indian products, including edible oil, produced by Adani Group.

It said, “The burgeoning anti-India campaign, meanwhile, is finding traction within Bangladesh’s domestic political landscape, raising concerns about potentially destabilizing Bangladesh’s economy and impacting regional relations”.

It further said:

Gono Odhikar Parishad, a rising political force aligned with the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP)-led opposition, is promoting the boycott movement. Party leader Nurul Haque Nur declared at a recent rally in Dhaka that “We all have to start an ‘India Out’ campaign’” while alleging Indian interference in the recent elections.

Rumeen Farhana, international affairs secretary of the BNP, told Al Jazeera that the people of Bangladesh never liked India’s interference in Bangladesh politics. “It’s now crystal clear that India did everything possible to keep the regime in power since 2014,” she alleged.

Resentment against India reached a boiling point in Bangladesh after Hasina’s Awami League secured a resounding victory in the January 7 elections, capturing 223 seats out of 300 in parliament. Critics alleged the process lacked legitimacy due to the opposition’s boycott and the presence of numerous Awami League-backed independent candidates, raising questions about the fairness of the vote.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi offered swift congratulations to both Hasina and “the people of Bangladesh for the successful conduct of elections”, endorsing the outcome. In contrast, Western governments expressed reservations, highlighting the boycott and the lack of a strong opposition presence.

Farhana said anti-India public sentiment in Bangladesh goes beyond politics. “The border killing, unresolved water sharing of 53 rivers including Teesta, trade deficit all play roles to that,” she said.

… Analysts, meanwhile, pointed out that boycotting Indian goods could have major repercussions for the economic relationship between the two countries.

India is a major exporter to Bangladesh with annual trade historically exceeding $12bn. Additionally, Bangladesh relies heavily on India for essential commodities, and the two governments are currently in talks on an annual quota of imports of Indian farm products.

It may be mentioned here that, although Al Jazeera portrays BNP-aligned Gono Odhikar Parishad as “a rising political force”, its leaders on record are notoriously anti-Hindu as in January 2023, Tarique Rahman, co-convener of Bangladesh Gono Odhikar Parishad and adviser to Nurul Haq Nur, launched a vehement attack against Hindus, claiming that the scriptures of the Hindu faith are “pornographic” and don’t provide any moral teaching.

In Facebook live, Tarique Rahman spewed venom against the Hindu community. “Scriptures of the Hindu religion do not offer any moral teaching — all the religious scriptures are porn scripts”, he said.

Another cohort of Pinaki Bhattacharya, Zulkarnain Saer Sami is also actively pushing-forward “India Out” notoriety on social media platforms such as Facebook and X. Zulkarnain claims to be an analyst at Al Jazeera.

According to Terrorism Research & Analysis Consortium (TRAC), which is one of the most comprehensive compendiums of information and analysis of terrorist groups and activities in the world, jihadist Zulkarnain Saer Khan threatened to behead a Hindu rights activist and professor Kushal Baran Chakraborty in Chittagong, Bangladesh. He also regularly terms Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) as “terrorist group”; brands leaders of RSS as “top terrorists”; runs vile propaganda against Hindus; and been plotting terrorist attacks on Israeli embassy as well as Jewish synagogues, homes, business establishments and Jewish community members in Britain.

Europe’s leading and most-influential multi-media news channel EuroNews, through a report titled ‘Cryptocurrency, drugs, money laundering: a Hungarian thread in the funding of Hamas’ has further exposed dangerous activities of this jihadist-terrorist.

According to media reports, in Hungary Zulkarnain Saer Khan Sami was running a couple of restaurants including an Indian restaurant named ‘Curry House’ located at District, VIII., 1. Horánszky Street – Budapest, Hungary, where under the garb of restaurant business, he was running illegal activities including drug trafficking, money-laundering and terrorist activities.

Zulkarnain Saer on his social media platforms falsely claims to be a former cadet of the Bangladesh Military Academy (BMA) while he also claims to be a researcher at Organized Crime and Corruption Project Reporting (OCCRP)’ reporter of Israeli newspaper Haaretz and research analyst at Al Jazeera. What this jihadist-terrorist does not say is – he was expelled from BMA on charges of drug addiction.

Media reports claim, sitting in Britain, this notorious jihadist-terrorist has also been maintaining connections with “Khalistani” terrorists as well as operatives of Pakistani spy agency Inter-Service Intelligence (ISI), while running vile propaganda against India (Bharat), Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJ)P), Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and Hindus on social media platforms. Only during the last one month, he has published 24 posts against Bharat and Hindus.

On February 4, 2024 in a post sharing a report of AL Jazeera Zulkarnain Saer wrote: “The Gyanvapi Mosque in Varanasi is one of several Muslim places of worship that right-wing Hindu groups, backed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), have sought for decades to reclaim.

Varanasi is Modi’s parliamentary constituency in Uttar Pradesh, India’s most populous state, also governed by the BJP”.

Sharing a report in favor of ultra-Islamist and Al Qaeda connected Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), Zulkarnair on February 3, 2024 wrote: “In no way can BNP be identified as an “Islamist” party, let alone be called an “ultra-Islamist” one. The loaded language of the Blitz article, lack of any sources and evidence to support its main claim, and the website’s record of spreading political disinformation against independent journalists and critics of the government are enough to debunk its new assertion that BNP has launched a so-called India Out movement in Bangladesh. Another brilliant work by Qadaruddin Shishir well-done”.

It may be mentioned here that Qadarudding Shishir is a member of Jamaat-e-Islami and currently working at French news agency AFP.

On January 26, 2024, jihadist-terrorist Zulkarnain in a post wrote: “As these lines show, India’s Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Govt. mentality is that of a parasite — it will only take and take from Bangladesh and give nothing in return. The Sharebiz report has already shown us that India cannot be viewed as a development partner of Bangladesh. Bangladesh’s exports to India are nothing to write home about, which is why the taka-rupee trade arrangement has been a big flop.

“India does not allow duty-free entry to RMG and jute products from Bangladesh, its two major export products. So how is this subservient posture of the Bangladesh Awami League government towards India ever going to contribute towards macroeconomic stability in Bangladesh? …”

On January 26, 2024 in a post Zulkarnain Saer in Bangla wrote: “I wanted to know the opinion on Twitter, which organization of Bangladesh or subcontinent can be found similar to Indian extremist/fundamentalist organization RSS. Out of 436 people, 49.5% voted for Hizbut Tahrir, 24.1% for Harkatul Jihad Al Islam, 19.3% for Jamatul Mujahideen BD, 7.1% for Hizbul Mujahideen. Just imagine that a head of government has been elected in Bangladesh or Pakistan with direct involvement of the above organizations! And who maintains very close relations with all these organizations even after becoming the head of the government. What would happen then? India would have ended in rage, the whole world would have said that the head of the government of my neighboring country is a terrorist! Do not want this government! Will disturb the security of my country. Our western friends also used to put on a huge hue and cry. And there are native fu**kers! India, a predominantly Hindu state (even though they claim to be secular), they crack down on Muslims, bulldoze their homes and businesses if anyone protests, and nothing will happen. Because their head of government is a member and supporter of a fundamentalist/extremist organization. But if some Muslim leaders happen in a country like that same incident, the country will become a base of terrorist-militants. After the inauguration of the Ram temple in Ayodhya, you will find out what is the condition of the local Muslim community there. Bangladesh’s over-the-top media is again very ashamed of these revelations. But when a police constable mocks someone for wearing a tip, their penis head burns”.
