Lucknow. To improve primary education in Uttar Pradesh, the second phase of Operation Kayakalp (Operation Kayakalp 2.0) is going to start. Basic Education Department has started the procurement process to provide tablets to 2.93 lakh teachers. The government wants to make available tablets to all teachers of primary and upper primary schools and ensure attendance of students. As a pilot project under Operation Kayakalp 2.0, a Chief Minister Abhyudaya Composite School will be set up in every district. On Friday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, after reviewing the progress of the schemes run in the Basic Education Department and the future action plan, ordered the officials to demolish the dilapidated buildings immediately. For this the children should be shifted to nearby schools.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was told in this high-level meeting that in 06 years, more than 01 lakh 64 thousand teachers have been recruited in the schools of Basic Education Council and Secondary Education Council. 11 thousand crore rupees alone have been spent in strengthening the infrastructure of council schools. The number of students is increasing in the schools of Basic Education Council. About 55 to 60 lakh new children were enrolled in Basic Education Council schools. The number of students has increased from 01 crore 34 lakh to more than 01 crore 91 lakh. Now communication and technology will be used with the parents to control the drop out.

In order to encourage digital learning, availability of resources will be ensured in primary and upper primary schools. Tablets should be made available to 2.36 lakh teachers of primary and upper primary schools. This work will be completed by next September. The Chief Minister said that training of teachers will also be done. Along with infrastructure in council schools, educational quality, learning environment, technical efficiency, digital learning, vocational education will have to be moved towards. Classrooms should be run in schools with the concept of ‘eight grade learning’. For this, instructions were given to prepare for the beginning of the second phase of Operation Kayakalp.

Renovation work will be done in government as well as funded non-government schools with the help of the concerned management system.
