Former Congress councilor Aslam Cyclewala has been arrested by the police under the Prevention of Anti-Social Activities (PASA) Act after complaints were lodged against him at different police stations and in several other cases. Even before the municipal by-election, many political speculations have also started due to the order of dice.
Protest against Congress leader due to action of dice
Former Congress councilor Aslam Cyclewala has been arrested late last night under PASA (Prevention of Anti Social Activity). Along with the arrest, Cyclewala made a post on social media. It is written in the post, ‘I am proud to be a Congressman, I love India, do not be afraid.’
Complaints were coming one after the other against Aslam Cyclewala for a long time. Crimes were registered against him in the police station areas of Salabatpura, Adajan, Udhna etc. In which he was released on bail after his arrest. Late night, he was taken to Civil Hospital for health check-up under Paasa procedure, from where his medical checkup was done and sent to Paasa. Congress is considering this issue as a political issue. The Congress alleges that this action has been taken at the behest of the BJP government.
Govt misusing agencies’: Spokesperson
Congress spokesperson Kiran Raika said that we are strongly opposing the action taken by the police against Congress worker Aslam Cyclewala. The BJP government is misusing agencies to suppress voices. Efforts are being made to intimidate the Congress leaders in one way or the other. Congress also organized a sit-in program at the police commissioner’s office this afternoon regarding the police action.
