Seasonal mosquito-borne diseases and vector-borne diseases have increased with the onset of monsoon. Regarding this, the Health Department has started a campaign to prevent the outbreak of mosquitoes. The health department has started door to door service to prevent the breeding of mosquitoes in private and public places.
Separate teams including Rapid Response Team should be formed
Whenever the effect of an epidemic is seen by the Health Department of Surat Municipal Corporation, a Rapid Response Team has been prepared for quick action. On receiving cases of seasonal diseases and diarrhea in Pandesara Budia Jiwa area, the response team has joined the operation in that area. This team works separately from the zonal teams constituted by the Health Department. In view of the way diarrhea and vomiting cases are coming up in Pandesara Vadod, the Rapid Response Team has launched an operation in the entire area. But, in the area where cases of many diseases including malaria and dengue are increasing along with diarrhea and vomiting, there is a lot of filth in the kingdom. Due to this people are also getting mosquito borne diseases. Not only this, people’s problems have increased due to contamination of drinking water.
Door-to-door survey was done by the health department team
Health Officer Ritika Patel said that so far six cases of dengue and 45 cases of malaria have been reported in the month of July. Keeping this in mind, the team of file area and malaria department has been put into operation. Such diseases increase in the rain. The holidays of the employees, which have increased considerably in the last few days, have also been cancelled. This action will continue on Saturday and Sunday as well. Footwork has been started to prevent the breeding of mosquitoes. Door to door service has been started to prevent the breeding of mosquitoes in private and public places. Wherever mosquito breeding is being found, along with spreading awareness, punitive action is also being taken. People are requested not to allow water-logging in or around their homes.
