Deoghar Kanwar Yatra: On Wednesday night some Kanwariyas of Patna district were staying at the temporary hotel and accommodation site built in Bara of Rikhia police station area located on Kanwariya path. Suddenly, at around 3 o’clock in the night, two people came and started fighting with the Kanwariyas who were staying there. During this, eight notes of Rs 500 (Rs 4000) were stolen from a Kanwariya’s mobile and handbag. During the incident, the police reached the spot and arrested Chintamani Mahato and his son Sonu, a resident of Bara involved in the incident.

The police recovered the stolen Rs 4000 from the arrested Chintamani. An FIR has been registered at Rikhia police station on the complaint of Kanwaria Pritam Kumar, a resident of Son Gopalpur in Bihar’s Patna district regarding the incident. It is worth mentioning that Pritam and other Kanwariyas were staying at Rajeshwar Mahato’s temporary hotel and residence in Bara at around 9 pm on Wednesday, July 19. After cooking and eating, started resting at the outpost. Suddenly around 3 o’clock in the night, Chintamani Mahato started abusing them and started driving them away. He was saying that you guys have stayed for a long time, run away. On checking the luggage, it was found that eight notes of Rs 500 kept in Pritam’s mobile and handbag were missing. Chintamani called his other men by phone, in which Sonu Kumar was involved. Both started fighting with the kanwariya and made her run away.

Kanwaria found unconscious on the Dadhwa river bridge

Here, on Thursday night, the police recovered an unknown Kanwariya in an unconscious state from the Dadhwa river bridge located near Basmandih village of Jasidih police station area. After this, the police picked up Kanwaria and admitted her to Sadar Hospital. According to the information, some villagers were going towards the Dadhwa river late on Thursday evening. During this, he saw that a Kanwariya was lying unconscious on the bank of the river. After this people picked him up and brought him to the bridge and informed the police station about the incident. As soon as the information was received, SI Sahveer Oraon Sadalbal from the police station reached the said place and investigated. The police could not find any kind of documents or material for his identification, due to which he could not be identified.

Provide crime free environment to devotees

On Thursday, SDPO Vinod Ravani held a review meeting regarding Shravani Mela and crime control at the SDPO office located in the subdivision office premises. Police station in-charge and circle inspector of Madhupur, Karon, Pathrol, Budhai, Margomunda were present in the meeting. On the spot, the SDPO observed the cases pending in different police stations one by one. He instructed to provide a better and crime-free environment to the devotees who came to Shravani Mela and curb crime in various police station areas of the subdivision area.

Instructing all the police station in-charges, he said that the cases pending in the police station should be executed soon. It is said that a large number of devotees coming to the Shravani Mela are arriving through the railway station and bus stop. Take special care that they do not face any kind of trouble. He said that there are pending cases in the police station area for more than five years, directed to execute them without delay. Circle Police Inspector Shailendra Kumar Singh, Inspector Incharge of Madhupur Police Station Ramdayal Munda, Pathrol Police Station Incharge Manish Kumar, Budhai Police Station Incharge Hiralal Tubid, Margomunda Police Station Incharge Pandu Samad were present on the occasion.

Railway Magistrate started ticket checking campaign

Regarding Shravani Mela, Madhupur Railway Judicial Magistrate Julian Anand Toppo conducted a special ticket checking campaign in various trains. During this, the Judicial Magistrate conducted ticket checking campaign in Madhupur platform including UP Dhanbad-Patna Intercity and Jhajha EMU. During this, he caught more than 50 people traveling without tickets, from whom a fine of Rs 10 thousand 400 was collected. On the occasion, Anand Toppo said that a special ticket checking campaign is being conducted continuously at Madhupur and Jasidih stations regarding Shravani Mela. He appealed to the passengers not to travel without tickets. Prabhas Kumar, Rameez Raja and RPF and GRP personnel were present on the occasion.
