Imphal : Around 22 miscreants who set houses on fire in three villages of Imphal in the violence-hit state of Manipur in northeast India have been arrested. Indian Army’s Spear Corps on Monday said that 22 miscreants have been arrested in connection with the burning of houses in Sansabi, Gwaltabi and Shabunkhol Khunao villages of YKPI’s Hill Sector in Imphal, Manipur. Five 12 bore double barrel and three single barrel rifles, local weapons and war like material have been recovered.
Tense situation after a day of violence

Officials said the latest clashes began after the army launched a search operation to disarm communities in order to restore peace.
