The dead body of MBBS student Gargi Rai, a resident of Karwal Majhganwa in Gagaha area of Gorakhpur, has arrived in Gorakhpur. Gargi died on May 13 while undergoing treatment at the Voronezh State Medical University in Russia. He was admitted to the ICU after having some intestinal problem. As soon as MP Ravi Kishan came to know about this whole incident, he spoke to Gargi’s brother Suyash and father Anil Rai. The MP had promised the family to return Gargi’s body home. The dead body has reached Gorakhpur on the initiative of the MP.
Gargi did MBBS from a Russian university
Gargi’s brother Suyash Rai told that sister Gargi was studying MBBS from a Russian university. After his health suddenly deteriorated, his colleagues admitted him to the ICU. He was admitted on Friday. He died on Saturday night. Because he could not get the right treatment. In Russia, doctors do not see on Saturdays and Sundays. Due to this arrangement, my sister could not be treated properly and she died.
MP Ravi Kishan tried to bring the dead body
The administration wanted to perform his last rites there. But as soon as MP Ravi Kishan came to know about this whole incident, he promised all of us to return to his sister’s house. The MP immediately spoke to my father and said that it is my responsibility to bring Gargi’s body home. I will bring him to Gorakhpur with my responsibility and my efforts.

Gargi’s body reached Gorakhpur
MP Ravi Kishan said that Gargi was the daughter of Gorakhpur. I was deeply saddened by the news of his death. I talked to the family members. The family wanted to bring the dead body of the daughter to Gorakhpur. The Russia-based Medical University administration wanted to perform his last rites there. I contacted the Ministry of External Affairs and with the help of the Foreign Minister, Gargi has reached Gorakhpur today. I am with the family in this hour of grief, my entire team is standing and will continue to support the family.
