Sivan. Rais Khan, former MLC candidate and staunch opponent of Shahabuddin, surrendered in the court on Friday. Rais Khan is a named accused in the murder case of constable Valmiki Yadav. The police was looking for him for a long time. He was still absconding. Rais Khan surrendered in Sparsh Agarwal’s court today along with his lawyer. The court sent Rais Khan to Mandal Jail in judicial custody for 14 days.

Rais Khan told reporters during a conversation that he was being harassed by the police by wrongly registering cases in two different cases, after which he surrendered in the court.
