Patna / Begusarai, May 19 (Hindustan Times). In the last nine years, the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken many such revolutionary steps which have become an essential need of the people today. One such big initiative is digital revolution. Such a revolution which rang the sting of India in the whole world.

The digital revolution of money transactions brought about by the vision of the Prime Minister not only solved the big problem of small shopkeepers. Rather, it made the life of the common man much easier. The introduction of UPI freed people from the hassle of carrying money in their pocket and carrying loose coins. At the same time, the fear of shopkeepers getting small loans has ended. Transactions worth crores are taking place everyday in Begusarai.

Today everyone is giving priority to digital payments, which is telling the success story of UPI. The world is surprised to see the revolution in this digital payment of India. Due to the visionary vision of the Prime Minister, UPI is creating new records everyday. In the last financial year, UPI transactions crossed the Rs 14 lakh crore mark, setting a new record. India ranks first in the world in terms of real time digital payments.

People started getting upset during demonetisation, during the Corona period when people were avoiding touching each other in any form. In such a situation, all UPI including Google Pay, Phone Pay, Paytm solved the big problem of the people. Today, whether you want to eat pani puri or drink tea, buy vegetables or drink sugarcane juice, or travel in an e-rickshaw or a hired car, there is no hassle of paying anywhere. Use the service and just give money from mobile in two seconds.

A survey report has said that India’s digital payments market will more than triple from $3 trillion to $10 trillion by 2026. So many people are using UPI all over the country, so the industrial capital of Bihar, Begusarai is not far behind. There are more than 15 lakh people using various UPIs and crores of transactions are happening every day.

Talking about all the banks of Begusarai, till May 5, 34 lakh 63 thousand 82 bank accounts have been opened. In which one million 20 thousand 693 people got their accounts opened under the Jan Dhan Yojana on the call of the Prime Minister. Not only UPI transactions, but talking about banking awareness, after 2014, about 20 lakh new people have joined the banking service in Begusarai. People are not only using the service. Rather, they are also becoming aware of financial inclusion.

Sujit, a tea seller, says that this digital revolution has ended the hassle of retail money and the fuss of small loans. Earlier, some of our customers used to take loans on the pretext of retail cash crunch. Ever since we started using PhonePe and Paytm, all the problems have gone away. Now people drink tea and pay by scanning the scanner instead of paying in cash. There is neither the hassle of taking retail money from them, nor of returning retail money. The biggest advantage is that it inspired to save. Money gets deposited in the bank, they withdraw it only when it is very necessary.

Rajesh, who pasted the UPI scanner in the e-rickshaw, told that earlier many times the ride did not have retail money. I also had a lot of trouble getting money when I didn’t have any cash to return it. Shopkeepers had to beg to get retail done. A year ago, he made a UPI ID and pasted it on the front mirror. Now most of the people give money through mobile only. This also saves time and hassle of returning to retail.

These two are just one example of the success of the schemes of the Modi government. The success story of UPI transaction is being seen not only in the city but also in every village. UPI has brought a big revolution and brought relief to the people at all places where transactions including vegetable shop, grocery shop, cloth showroom, jewellery, tea-snack shop, juice stall, stationery shop. The number of its users is also increasing day by day. Now all the banks are also generating UPI ID of their account holders.
