Bihar Crime News: The criminals fired indiscriminately on the Scorpio involved in the marriage procession going from Purnia to Madhepura in the Bihariganj police station area on Purnia-Madhepura border of Bihar. Due to this, the Scorpio driver died due to bullet injuries. While the groom’s cousin uncle is in critical condition due to bullet injury in his temple. The procession was going from Maldiha of Bikothi in Purnia to Manjora of Bihariganj in Madhepura. The deceased driver Jaynandan Mandal (35) was the son of Keshav Mandal of Kavaiya village under Dhamdaha police station area of Purnia. On the other hand, the injured Sunil Malakar is the son of late Kirani Malakar, a resident of Ward-2 Haldibari village of Latraha Panchayat of Badhara police station area of Purnia.
Sunil Malakar’s elder brother Anil Malakar told that at around 2 o’clock in the night, the nephew’s procession was going to Rampur of Bihariganj police station area from Maldiha village. On the way, near Pakilpar, two bike riding criminals stopped the Bolero vehicle at gunpoint and shot the driver. The driver died on the spot. They started fighting and abusing the people sitting in the car as well. When the people protested, the younger brother Sunil Malakar, who was sitting next to him, was shot in the right temple and seriously injured. He was brought to Bihariganj Health Center, from where he was referred for better treatment. He has been admitted to a private hospital in Bihariganj itself. His condition remains critical. The bullet is stuck in the temple itself.

Trainee DSP cum Dhamdaha Police Station President Seema Devi told that the body has been sent for postmortem. The incident is of Bihariganj police station area of Madhepura. An FIR regarding the incident has also been registered in Bihariganj. Bihariganj police station has started investigating this matter. Bihariganj Police Station President Amit Kumar Rai told that the police is engaged in the investigation.
