Sameer Kumar, a Class IX student of Patna’s Miller High School, was abducted by a convicted criminal absconding from Buxar Jail on Wednesday morning. Immediately after getting information about this, SSP Rajeev Mishra formed four teams under the leadership of City SP Vaibhav Sharma. After this, teams started raiding under the leadership of DSP Law and Order Nurul Haq. Taking quick action, the police recovered the kidnapped student Sameer Kumar safely within three hours. At the same time, the police arrested four criminals including the convicted absconding and sent them to jail.
Two criminals still absconding
The bike used in the kidnapping has been recovered by the police. A total of six criminals were involved in this scandal, out of which two are still absconding. In the case, the police have arrested the main kidnappers Dharam Kumar alias Rajneesh Yadav and Anil Kumar, residents of Raghopur in Vaishali, Shambhu Kumar of Ekangarsarai in Nalanda and Rahul Kumar of Jehanabad. City SP Central Vaibhav Sharma told in the press conference that the team will be rewarded.
Dharam is convicted in the murder of uncle and sister
According to the information received, the main accused Dharam is convicted in the murder of his uncle and sister. He escaped from Buxar Jail in the year 2021, after which he also started living in Sameer’s locality. During this, Dharam befriended Sameer’s father Ranjit alias Athanni and started working for him. During interrogation, it was found that apart from Athanni, Dharam had also taken a loan of Rs 30,000 from Anil. Anil was making pressure to give money. Here Dharam planned to open a grocery shop in Patna itself. After this, he conspired with Anil to kidnap Athanni’s son for this amount.
The student was held hostage at the house of two friends in Jakkanpur
City SP told that both Dharam and Anil reached Sameer’s school by bike. Dharam told Sameer that your father’s health is bad. Come fast. After this, Dharam kept Sameer at Rahul and Shambhu’s room in Jakkanpur. Rahul and Shambhu drive an e-rickshaw. Both were taking care of the child. Here Dharam and Anil turned off the phone and went towards Bakhtiyarpur. On the way, Dharam called Athanni and demanded a ransom of six lakhs and then switched off the phone.
Kidnappers fell asleep intoxicated with smack, Sameer ran away by dodging
After some time of keeping Sameer hostage, Shambhu and Rahul started consuming smack. In no time both of them fell asleep after getting intoxicated with smack. Meanwhile, Sameer slowly opened the room and ran away. He reached home panting. On the other hand, police raided Bakhtiyarpur and arrested Dharam and Anil.

Dharam was repeatedly demanding ransom from Ranjit alias Athanni. When the police reached around Bakhtiyarpur on the forelane, then the mobile was switched on and the location Ghoswari started coming. This time Dharam told Athanni that you send someone to Patna Junction by taking only 3.30 lakhs. Here the team of Bakhtiyarpur SHO Sunil Singh, Kotwali SHO Sanjit Kumar, Rajiv Nagar SHO Neeraj Kumar was moving towards the location in Ghoswari. At the same time, a police team had reached Patna Junction with three lakh rupees. Then the police saw a bike in the middle of a garden in Ghoswari, where two people were talking. The police laid siege and arrested both of them.
