A meeting has been held with the purchase committee under the chairmanship of DDC Ashutosh Dwivedi on Wednesday. DDC told that litchi will be sent to Delhi in the first week of June. District Agriculture Officer Shilajit Singh told that planning has started regarding sending Litchi to Delhi. Assistant Director Horticulture has been given the responsibility to look after its entire arrangement. Responsibility has been given to private agency for selection and packing of Litchi.
Program on 20 May regarding ODOP in NRC
Dr. Bhushan Kumar Sinha, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Finance, will inaugurate the project under the One District One Product (ODOP) initiative on May 20 at the National Litchi Research Center. Preparation is being done by Bank of India regarding this. Especially the issue of export and import of Litchi will be talked about in the programme. In which DDC, along with the President of Litchi Producers Association and other office bearers have been invited for the program.
Shahi Litchi will be sent from VP to Mumbai from today
Litchi will be sent from VP to Mumbai on the demand of litchi traders from Thursday. Officials of the Commercial Department told that on the demand of litchi traders, a VP will be added from Muzaffarpur in Pawan Express. It is said that VP will be installed near RMS. In which loading of litchi will be done till noon. Up to 24 tonnes of litchi can be loaded in one VP. VP Shahi Litchi will go to Mumbai in Pawan Express.
