Meghalaya: Chief Minister Konrad Sangma Today a big meeting is going to be held regarding the reservation roster. During this meeting, he will share information about the roster system of reservation policy with the colleagues of Meghalaya Democratic Alliance. Sangma told in one of his statements that what is this roster system and how does it work. The government will hold a meeting with the leaders of all political parties today to throw light on these many topics, further stating that CM Sangma said that the presentation on the roster system was given to the cabinet members on Wednesday itself. Some revelations were also made due to which the cabinet members were satisfied. Explaining further, Sangma said that today the same presentation will be made in front of all political parties.

Information will be given to civil society organizations

CM Sangma told that in about 10 days the civil society organizations will be informed about the roster system. Explaining further, Sangma said that roster and recruitment is an ongoing process. Acting on a court order, the state government last year adopted a roster system so that the Garo tribals could benefit from the policy. This policy provided 40 percent reservation each to the Garos and Khasis.

There will be a protest on May 19

On May 12, the opposition Voice of the People’s Party gave the state government a 48-hour deadline to stop all recruitment processes in various government departments until the roster system of the job reservation policy was discussed. go. Speaking on the matter, Voice of the People’s Party President and MLA Ardent Basaivamoit told that the party is going to protest on May 19. Explaining further, he said that the reservation adopted for Garos and Khasis is not appropriate in the present form. There is a need to discuss this policy.
