Information will be given to civil society organizations

CM Sangma told that in about 10 days the civil society organizations will be informed about the roster system. Explaining further, Sangma said that roster and recruitment is an ongoing process. Acting on a court order, the state government last year adopted a roster system so that the Garo tribals could benefit from the policy. This policy provided 40 percent reservation each to the Garos and Khasis.

There will be a protest on May 19

On May 12, the opposition Voice of the People’s Party gave the state government a 48-hour deadline to stop all recruitment processes in various government departments until the roster system of the job reservation policy was discussed. go. Speaking on the matter, Voice of the People’s Party President and MLA Ardent Basaivamoit told that the party is going to protest on May 19.
