A child died in a road accident on Thursday near Keshav Chowk located in Chhaurahi village of Kathara OP area of Vaishali district. The student was getting down from his school bus, during which the driver jerked the vehicle forward, crushing the five-year-old student to death. The deceased five-year-old Pritam Kumar was the son of Vijay Chowdhary, a resident of Chaurahi village. After the accident, the driver of the bus fled from the spot. Angry over the student’s death, people vandalized the bus and blocked the road.
Police pacified the people
As soon as the information about this incident was received, apart from Kathara OP, the police of Goraul and Mahua police stations reached the spot. The police pacified the people somehow by convincing them. At the same time, the relatives of the deceased refused to conduct the post-mortem of the dead body.
Death due to being crushed by the back wheel of the bus
According to the local people, like every day on Thursday also other children besides Pritam Kumar had gone to study at Surya International School, Supaul Taria by school bus. After recess in the afternoon everyone had to drop home by school bus. Pritam Kumar was alighting from the bus at Keshav Chowk when the driver suddenly pushed the vehicle forward. Due to this, the innocent fell down from the bus and got buried under the rear wheels of the bus. Due to this he died on the spot.
