In the toll plaza located in Kulgo of Dumri police station area of Giridih district, the case of clash and fighting by the personnel over the collection of toll from local vehicles has become common. A similar incident happened on Monday as well. After this, the angry people blocked the toll. Police reached on the information and removed the jam by convincing the people.
It is said that BJP leader Pradeep Sahu’s JCB was crossing the toll. After being told that it was a local vehicle, when the toll personnel insisted on taking the amount, they had a scuffle and fight with the JCB driver. On information Mr. Sahu reached toll with his supporters and blocked the toll gate. The toll remained jammed for about one and a half hours.
The BJP leader told that the personnel working in the toll beat up his JCB driver. Said that the toll workers do this every day. Money is collected on the strength of sticks. If there is no improvement in the system in two, he will start a fast unto death. In this regard, toll manager Pratap Yadav told that Pradeep Sahu wanted to pass his JCB free of cost. When the workers asked for the RC book, Mr. Sahu and his brothers started fighting. After this, by pulling the toll barrier, the vehicles were made to cross free. Due to this there was a loss of revenue of Rs 1.5 lakh. A written complaint will be made in the police station.
