On Monday morning, the people of the locality informed the teacher on mobile after seeing the locks of the rooms including the main gate broken. After this the family members reached the spot. On receiving the information about the theft, Mithanpura police reached the spot and started investigation. CCTV footage will be scrutinized on the escape route of the criminals.

Took advantage of the house being empty

Homeowner teacher Santosh Kumar Rai has told Mithanpura police that his father Kameshwar Rai is retired from the Electricity Department. He is living in his ancestral village Mirapur. He lives with his brother Anant Kumar Rai, who is a clerk in the education department, in a house located in Kanhauli Rajput Tola. At present the posting of both the brothers are in different cities. He had gone to Darbhanga with his family on last Friday. Both the tenants living in his house, Dr. Mahesh Kumar and Dr. Manish Kumar, who are professors in Nitishwar Ayurvedic College, also went home. Taking advantage of this, the thieves executed the incident. Both the thieves also attacked the professor’s room. In case of not getting anything from there, only a fan has been taken. SHO Srikant Prasad Sinha told that the incident has been informed. The police is investigating the matter.
