A victim had lodged an FIR in the women’s police station regarding the matter. The victim, a resident of University police station area, has said in the application that she was introduced to a person named Subhash Kumar Singh on Facebook. During the conversation, he talked about giving training and job in Mithila painting. She lived in Asansol, West Bengal. Under the guise of the accused, she came to Darbhanga with the goods.
The accused kept her in a rented house in a locality of the city and kept raping her. On making pressure for marriage, vermilion was applied in a closed room.
