Maximum 5 people died of dengue in Jharkhand in 2017

Between the year 2017 and the year 2022, 7 people have died in a total of 6 years, out of which maximum 5 people died in the year 2017. In the year 2018 and in the year 2021, 1-1 person died in Jharkhand due to dengue sting. Ministry of Health and Family Welfare Records of the National Center for Vector Borne Disease Control (NCVBDC), Government of India, confirm that no one died in Jharkhand due to dengue in the year 2019, 2020 and 2022.

In Jharkhand, the least number of people got dengue in the year 2020.

The least number of dengue patients reached hospitals in Jharkhand in the year 2020. In the year 2019, maximum 825 patients had to be admitted to the hospital. Prior to this, in the year 2017, a total of 710 people came under the grip of dengue, in the year 2018, 463 people. In 2017, 5 out of 710 victims died, while in 2018, 1 out of 463 died. In the year 2020 only 79 people got dengue. No one died this year. Dengue was confirmed in a total of 220 people in the year 2021 and out of these 1 person also died. Although, in the year 2022, the number of dengue patients increased to 290, but no one died this year.

30 people died of dengue in Bengal in 2022

Dengue killed 30 people in West Bengal. 29 in Kerala, 27 in Maharashtra, 18 each in Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir, 10 each in Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh, 9 each in Karnataka and Delhi, 8 in Tamil Nadu, 7 in Gujarat, 5 in Mizoram, 4 in Manipur, 3-3 in Puducherry and Andaman and Nicobar Islands, 2-2 in Assam and Madhya Pradesh, 1-1 in Goa, Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh lost their lives due to dengue. In Lakshadweep, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Odisha, Punjab, Sikkim, Tripura, Telangana, Uttarakhand, there was no death due to dengue in the year 2022.

Separate ward of dengue is made in RIMS
