Samastipur. Jan Suraj Padyatra of Prashant Kishor was suddenly postponed in Samastipur. The yatra will remain suspended for the next 15 days. The padyatra can start from June 11 in its old form. Prashant Kishore himself has informed about this by holding a press conference in Morwa, Samastipur. He told that due to the rupture of the muscle of his left leg, he is having difficulty in walking. Doctors suggest to rest the feet for 15-20 days, hence the journey has to be postponed. On June 11, the yatra will start again in the same form from this ground of Morwa and will continue as it was going on.

I am not facing any other health problem

IPAC chief Prashant Kishor, 45, told reporters that he was not facing any other health problem. I am walking 20-25 km daily on bad roads. My muscles are stretched. Doctors have also attributed this to walking long distances on bad roads. I refused to take a break to maintain integrity of purpose. Since the padyatra will take many more months to cover every nook and corner of Bihar, I stop for a while. The padyatra will resume in the same format after about 15 days from the same place.

From October 2, 2022, continuously walking in the villages of Bihar

Prashant Kishore is continuously walking in the villages of Bihar from 2 October 2022 through Jan Suraj Padyatra. During this, covering a distance of more than 2500 km, he walked from West Champaran via Shivhar, East Champaran, Gopalganj, Siwan, Saran, Vaishali and entered Samastipur district on 11th May. After this, doctors were consulted due to problems in the feet and the decision to postpone the yatra for a few days was taken unanimously by the people associated with Jan Suraj.
