A state in Eastern India: Uncle, aunt and cousin together killed a young man in a land dispute in Arrah. The very next day, Sehra was about to be tied on his head. But, 24 hours before filling vermilion in the bride’s demand, in a land dispute, the own people killed the groom by beating him with sticks and iron rods. Manish Kumar Singh, 34, a teacher by profession, was the son of retired SI Sopal Singh, a resident of Ishwarpura in Shahpur block. The post-mortem was conducted at Sadar Hospital, Arrah under the supervision of the police. Prima facie the police is considering it a matter of land dispute.

The accused uncle-aunt and cousin are said to be absconding in the case. Police is conducting raids to arrest all four. At present, two people have been detained in this case. In relation to the incident, it is being told that Manish Kumar Singh was working as a teacher in DAV School Shahpur. Presently the whole family was living in Sankat Mochan Nagar of Nawada police station area. On May 12, the members of the family happily completed the turmeric ceremony. He was to be married on May 15 in Pachma village of Piro subdivision, but 24 hours before the marriage, a family fight broke out due to a land dispute on Saturday night.

The family members allege that four people including the uncle-aunt, cousin, nephew of the deceased surrounded the groom and beat him mercilessly. After this, the family members took him to the hospital, from where the doctor referred him to Patna for better treatment, where he died. In this matter, Nawada police station chief told that the matter is being investigated. Soon the accused will be arrested.
