In Jharkhand, a case of huge irregularities has come to the fore in the food grains distribution scheme. Fraud has been done only in the free food grains given to the tribal families of the state. According to the data received from Aahar portal, 1199 people in East Singhbhum district, 2577 in Giridih district, 1938 in Gumla district, 1014 in Hazaribagh district and 1045 in Lohardaga district have taken advantage of primitive tribe scheme with fake documents.
7773 cases have been found fake in five districts. Under the Special Tribe Food Security Scheme, 35 kg of rice is delivered free of cost to the primitive tribe family at their place of residence. The number of primitive tribal families in the state is 74 thousand 570. Here, correspondence was done with the DGP and the Home Secretary on behalf of the Food Supply Department to investigate the irregularities.
After this, on the instructions of the Home Department and the Police Headquarters, the Cyber Police has started investigating the matter. In a letter written to the DGP, it was told by the department that the National Food Security Act is in force in the state since October 2015. Food grains are provided at subsidized rates to two categories of beneficiaries, AAY and PHH.
First priority primitive tribe:
Beneficiaries of the National Food Security Scheme Act 2013 who are eligible to take food grains at a subsidized rate. By the way, Jharkhand Food Scheme is applicable from January 2021 to provide food grains to the people at a subsidized rate. There is a provision in this that as there will be vacancies under the National Food Security Scheme.
By the way, the beneficiaries of Jharkhand State Food Security Scheme will be transferred online. Standards have also been set for this. The first standard is the PVGT class. That is, out of the available vacancies, the PVTG category will be shifted first. For verification and correction of caste of the beneficiaries, facility has been provided in the login ID of all the District Supply Officers.
NIC and district officials are accusing each other after disturbances
