Karnataka Election Result: The BJP is now out of power in Karnataka, known as the ‘Gate of the South’. By securing a clear majority and returning to power in the state on its own after 10 years, the Congress has set its sights on forming the government. After the 1989 assembly elections, this is considered to be the biggest victory of the Congress. In this way, the 38-year-old custom of no ruling party returning to power for the second consecutive term in the state was maintained once again. Meanwhile, a question is coming in everyone’s mind that after the victory of Congress, who will be the next Chief Minister of Karnataka.

Here, the poster war has started regarding the claim for the post of CM. Where supporters of senior Congress leader Siddaramaiah put up a poster outside Siddaramaiah’s residence in Bengaluru describing him as the “next Chief Minister of Karnataka”. On the other hand, in Bengaluru, Karnataka Congress President D.K. Shivakumar’s supporters put up a poster outside his residence, demanding that he be declared the “Chief Minister” of Karnataka. If seen in this way, even after the victory in Karnataka, the tension of the Congress has not ended.

First meeting of Congress Legislature Party today

According to Karnataka Congress in-charge Randeep Singh Surjewala, the first meeting of the Congress Legislature Party will be held on Sunday at around 5.30 pm. The Congress got 42.88 per cent votes in Karnataka, while the party got around 38 per cent votes in 2018. Out of the six regions in the state, the Congress won Old Mysuru, Mumbai Karnataka, Hyderabad Karnataka and Central Karnataka regions. At the same time, the BJP was able to retain its hold only in Coastal Karnataka, while the two parties had a mixed performance in Bengaluru.
