UP Nikay Chunav Result: ‘Lotus’ blossomed again in Ayodhya, Girishpati Tripathi won the Mayor seat by about 34 thousand votes

UP Municipal Elections: BJP’s Mahant Girishpati Tripathi won the election of the second mayor of Ayodhya Municipal Corporation by defeating SP’s Ashish Pandey in a close fight. Along with this, BJP candidates won 32 out of 60 councilor seats. 17 councilor seats went to SP, BSP won 2 seats and Congress won one councilor seat, independent candidates won 8 seats. In which three rebels of BJP are also included.

The counting of votes for the mayor’s election was very exciting, in which the ups and downs of votes were recorded from 500 to 1000 in the first to 13th round of counting. But the last four rounds gave an indication that the victory would be of BJP, though the margin would be very less. After the 10th round of counting, BJP candidate Girishpati Tripathi is heading towards victory by 24575 votes. BJP got 54984 votes. Whereas SP candidate Ashish Pandey got 30409 votes. Whereas in the 13th round, the difference between the votes of BJP and SP became 32 thousand 144. And the result of the last round of counting has registered victory in BJP’s account.

Girishpati won by 34 thousand votes. On the other hand, BSP candidate Ram Murti Yadav got a total of 12 thousand 275 votes. While Congress’s Pramila Rajput had to be satisfied with only 3 thousand 544 votes. Let us tell you that only 47.89 percent polling was held in Ayodhya Municipal Corporation area.
